Flyover is a built-in feature in Apple Maps that allows users to navigate around a city through 3D buildings instead of standard satellite images. Today the feature is being expanded to Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zandvoort, and other cities in the Netherlands. Although Apple introduced Flyover in 2012 with iOS 16, the company has been slowly expanding the feature around the world. Users can see buildings, mountains, trees, and more in 3D. Even after North Dakota senators voted down a proposal that would allow developers to offer apps outside the App Store on iOS, other US states are considering similar legislation — including Arizona. It’s now known that Apple has been lobbying against this bill in Arizona before it’s even formally introduced. During a session at WWDC this week, Apple detailed a notable new improvement for how developers test their applications via TestFlight… Apple announced a new feature called TestFlight Public Link, which relates to how developers invite people to test upcoming versions of their applications. Apple first started accepting Apple Watch trade-ins last year, but only in the form of free recycling. Unlike other products, Apple didn’t offer users a gift card in exchange for their device. That changes today, however, as Apple is now offering a gift card to users who recycle an Apple Watch in working condition. This is due to a heavy load on Apple servers, sources say. It has nothing to do with your computer or device. No matter how many times you reboot your computer, device or home network – the upgrade process will still error out. During the upgrade process, iTunes checks Apple servers to validate your device and the .ipsw file. Because so many users are trying upgrade during these initial hours after the iOS 5 release, traffic loads are causing it to error out....

Just as it did last year, Apple will be making donations to the National Parks Foundation when you use Apple Pay to make a purchase from the Apple Store – whether it’s in a retail store, online or through the app … The company is also offering a new Activity Challenge for Apple Watch customers on September 1, to celebrate Redwood National Park’s 50th anniversary. “America’s national parks are treasures everyone should experience, and we’re proud to support them again this month by donating a dollar for every purchase made with Apple Pay at one of our stores,” said Apple’s CEO Tim Cook....
