Apple has just sent out official invitations to media outlets (via CNBC) for its next special event on September 9th. The tagline this year reads “Hey Siri, give us a hint.” The event will take place at 10 am PT at Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco, California, which was rumored to be the venue ahead of the invites. Apple’s September event is set to include the next generation iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus as well as the long awaited Apple TV hardware update.

Speaking of Apple TV, the invite’s “Hey Siri” tagline is surely a reference to the iOS-based version set to debut with app support and an improved remote control and Siri as we’ve reported. As for Apple’s two new iPhones this year, we’re expecting major camera upgrades this time around including a 12MP back camera, 4K video recording, and a screen flash for selfies similar to the Mac’s Photo Booth app effect.

We also reported earlier today that Apple will include Apple Watch-like motion wallpapers which match up with leaked packaging for the expected iPhone 6S Plus. Apple will also likely use the event to show off iOS 9 and watchOS 2 one more time before their release. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are expected to also add a new color option to the mix and launch on September 18th with pre-orders kicking off a week prior.
