Anthem was a key part of EA’s E3 2018 press conference, and among the discussion was the reveal of some key world and plot elements. The upcoming BioWare title is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games around, and as such plenty of fans of the developer’s work were looking closely at the EA Play event to see if there were any major tidbits to be found. Thankfully, those fans had plenty to see about the game during the presentation, with both a brand new cinematic trailer and a brief look at one of the game’s missions in action, which can be seen below....

Having a phone with super fast charging is becoming the norm, but sadly some of the manufacturers are also catching the “Apple” diseases. Meaning, that they are on purpose not packaging the phone charger in directly. And their own branded extra offerings can get quite pricy, so the customer can be often rather looking elsewhere. Apple promises to promote new apps, and exclusive App offers. We wonder what these exclusive app offers mean. Could Apple begin working with developers to promote discounts? Maybe Apple will start distributing promo codes via giveaways on their Twitter account? Apple has already brought the App Store into the modern social networking world with their App Store Facebook fan page....

Apple’s quarterly earnings day has arrived, and with it, we learn how the company performed during the fourth fiscal quarter of 2020. We continue to get a closer look at how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is affecting Apple’s business, with a specific focus on the iPhone, or lack thereof, this time around. For the fourth fiscal quarter of 2020, Apple has announced revenue of $64.7 billion with $12.67 billion in profit....

At its September event, Apple today announced the new iPhone lineup: iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. iPhone 13 prices remain the same as last year, from $699 and $799 for iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13. Base storage has been bumped to 128 GB and a 512 GB storage configuration is now available. The iPhone 13 design is mostly the same as the iPhone 12, however the display notch at the top of the screen is slightly smaller in width; Apple says about 20% smaller....

With the release of a new iPhone naturally comes issues that are discovered by users. Every year, one or two of these issues tends to gather a substantial amount of attention. With the iPhone 12, it appears one of these issues lies with the display. Users have begun to report display issues with the new iPhone 12, including a greenish tint and flickering. These complaints have slowly been popping up all over the internet, even on Apple’s Support Communities page, with no fix currently available....

After reporting strong earnings and forecasting a record-smashing holiday quarter this week, Apple’s market capitalization has crossed over $900 billion during intraday trading. As MarketWatch notes, this makes Apple the first publicly traded US company to reach this milestone. Apple previously broke records last week when it reached $900 billion market capitalization during after-hours trading, but today markets the first time this has happened during intraday trading. Investors are partly jazzed about the strong results Apple reported last Thursday....

After recently overhauling its iBooks apps for iOS 7, Apple has enabled the ability to purchase iBooks for others through its gifting system as Macworld first noted. The change comes at an opportune time as the holidays approach and gifting will likely be quite popular. Siri has always been above average when it comes to talking about sports. Now, Apple is adding support for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in its virtual assistant. Announced via a press release, Apple says that Siri will now be able to answer questions regarding the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Users can ask questions like When does France play Australia or Who is on the England squad? In addition to Siri, Apple will also be expanding its knowledge to the App Store with curated stories from App Store editors....

Apple is facing a new lawsuit from Deco Proteste, a private consumer organization from Portugal, over “planned obsolescence” with the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, and 6S Plus. The lawsuit alleges that Apple’s planned obsolescence forces consumers to buy a new phone before they would otherwise have to. As reported by Marketeer, this consumer protection organization waited three years without an answer from Apple in Europe before filing this lawsuit. Now, Deco Proteste is taking the company to court to defend 115,000 Portuguese iPhone users....

In addition to the Apple Watch Pride band released today, Apple has also released three new Apple Watch band colors for its sport line, as well as new colors for its silicone iPhone 8 and iPhone X cases… The three new colors are referred to by Apple as Peach, Sky Blue, and Marine Green. The first is a soft orange color, the second very light blue, and the third a light green....

For a company of Apple’s stature that relies on a wide array of Asian suppliers to ship millions of gadgets to the market every month, I’ve always felt even the smallest disruption in supply chain could spell trouble. The March 11 disaster that struck Japan has affected a lot of firms that make electronics components like memory chips and touch panels. Apple reduces risks by working with multiple suppliers, but it still depends on the weakest supplier....

Desktop environment AntiX is extremely fast, even if you run it in a VirtualBox. Instead of using a heavy desktop environment, AntiX comes with iceWM, a lightweight window manager for performing day-to-day tasks on your distro. AntiX looks great with iceWM (by default) on top of it. It is fast and can be run as a live CD or USB for fixing boot issues. When AntiX is installed on the hard disk, there is almost no lag between the options you click and the response....

Apple has begun advertising the iPhone 6s to older iPhone users through the App Store, as spotted by @Dirk_Gently on Twitter. If a user browses the App Store, perhaps updating apps, with an iPhone 5s or earlier device, a modal popup may appear over the top of the view promoting the iPhone 6s as a ‘ridiculously powerful’ upgrade. Users are directed to learn more or ‘upgrade now’ which takes them to the Apple Store app to buy the new phone directly....

At WWDC, Apple has officially announced the new version of its mobile operating system, iOS 9. The update will be available in the fall for free. iOS 9 runs on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Update: Apple has since stated that Cook intended to describe the Microsoft Surface Book as “diluted” rather than “deluded.” The Irish government has announced that Apple will be employing an additional 1,000 staff in Ireland, the country where the company declares much of its revenue from sales throughout Europe, reports Reuters.
